Aerial surveys are created when Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, also known as UAVs or drones, are used to carry out a topographical survey. At Ryder Geospatial, we can use UAVs in conjunction with traditional survey instruments to capture and accurately represent the features of the natural and built environment.
Some reasons for opting for using UAVs over the more traditional methods of surveying include the area we are able to cover, the speed in which we are able to survey the site, increased safety as our team does not have to go into what could be potentially dangerous situations (roofs, quarries), greater access, and cost efficiency.
